The Night Before PT FF
The nerves don't get any better. It's 93 degrees outside and the Vegas Sphere is the last thing I see before I close the door to my cheap hotel room and once again try to sleep before something happens tomorrow that I've been preparing for for weeks and months.
Preparing in my head.
Preparing with my teammates.
Preparing my body, my mind, and my nerves.
There's only so much preparation you can do before something before it happens. I never feel like I can prepare enough. There's always more work to do, but sometimes you have to stop the work and play the tournament.
In this particular tournament, I'm hoping to earn the right to keep doing the work, to keep pushing myself as far as I can and competing against the best, because I love it. I never want to take this for granted — I'm so nervous because I love doing this. I fear not being able to any more, but the love comes first.
I'm once again playing one of the hardest-to-play decks I've ever registered at a tournament. Our team has some brilliant technical players on it who I've been trying to learn from as much as possible this week, and I don't consider myself at their level yet. But there's only one way to get there, and I've tried to climb that mountain of learning a beautiful deck inside and out once again.
I will make many mistakes.
I will play my cards to the best of my ability.
And I even get to play high-level limited again! What a privilege.
I'm going to try and enjoy every second of it.
Sorry for the slight psy-op/misdirect in the discord, but I sincerely believe this after having learned the deck from the best, and I'm hoping to show you all why afterwards:
Prowess is just Otters. Let's Ride.
